Where to Ride Your Harley-Davidson® Motorcycle

Apr. 9 2019 Miscellaneous By ___

Once you’ve purchased a Harley-Davidson® motorcycle, it’s time to hit the road. One of the best ways to do this isn’t necessarily in the city, but on the open road in some of the northeast’s most beautiful backcountry. Check these two favorite routes of ours and then let us know what you think by stopping by Big Moose Harley-Davidson in Portland, Maine.

Bold Coast Scenic Byway

This loop starts in the city of Milbridge and takes you up along the coast to Cobscook Bay, where you will pass a number of breathtaking views. As you travel up the coastline, you’ll have plenty of opportunities to stop and breathe in the fresh, salty air, or take pictures of the rolling landscapes of greenery and picturesque scenery. You’ll also be passing some great visiting points, like the Ruggles House Museum, the Cutler Coast Public Reserve Land and Bold Coast Trails, and the Roosevelt Campobello Park. There’s so much to see and do, you might need to break this route up into a few days just to truly experience it.

Dover, NH to Poland, ME Loop

Just as the name implies, this route starts just over the border and takes you all the way up to Poland (and back around again, if needed). You’ll have even more beautiful scenery to view and the pique of New England beauty. There are lots of areas where you can pull off and snap some pictures or simply enjoy the quiet view. You’ll be passing right by our dealership and all the other great things to see and do in the city of Portland, Maine, as well as delicious foods and even areas where you can rent personal watercraft and boats for the day, if you need to get off the bike for a bit.

Now we want to hear about some of your favorite motorcycle routes. Stop by Big Moose Harley-Davidson® and chat with our staff or a fellow rider in the Harley® community.
